Study: Genomic sequence of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii
show Abstracthide Abstract
The genome of C. reinhardtii has been sequenced by the Department of Energy's Joint Genome Institute using a whole genome shotgun strategy. It has been deposited in GenBank and has the project accession ABCN00000000. Automated annotation of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii v3.0 has been completed. Sequencing reads have been assembled into 1557 scaffolds totaling 120 Mbp. 15,143 gene models have been predicted and annotated. The depth of sequence coverage for the main genome scaffolds is estimated at approximately 12.8x. Genome was annotation by JGI-PGF and Chlamydomonas Annotation Team.
